There are many pet stores that would make us agree. There are bad pet stores, bad breeders and bad humane societies out there. We believe that we are not one of them. We believe that you have to use your eyes, ears, nose and all of your senses to judge whether you should buy any animal from any place. Are the animals housed in a clean environment? Do they get ample exercise? Is the state inspection posted for you to see? Do the animals look healthy? These are things you can only tell by being there. We believe that we are different from other pet stores. Our puppies go outside every day. We know that buying a puppy is an emotional decision. We also know that in the light of a new day some puppy buying decisions don't work out. We average one puppy return a week. Not one of those people thought they would return the puppy when they bought it. Sometimes life is more complicated than we think. It's ok, we'll find the little one a new home.

Sadly the end of pet stores selling puppies will never put an end to bad guys breeding them. As long as the public buys into the notion that anywhere other than a pet store is a great place to buy a puppy, the bad guys will find a way to survive while some of the good guys fade away.

BASIC GROOMING, BATHING, EARS, COMB OUTS
OUTDOOR YARD MAINTENANCE
WORKING WITH BIRDS, FINGER TAMING
WORKING WITH SMALL ANIMALS, SOCIALIZING
SOCIALIZING CATS
WE EXPECT A COMMITMENT OF TWO HOURS PER WEEK FOR SIX MONTHS. WE WORK HARD AT KEEPING OUR CRITTERS HAPPY AND HEALTHY. THIS COMMITMENT GIVES US THE TIME TO TRAIN VOLUNTEERS IN THE “DOG PATCH” WAYS OF ANIMAL CARE. WE DO THINGS OUR WAY AND IT TAKES TIME TO GET THE HANG OF THINGS. WE EXPECT NOTHING BUT THE BEST FROM OUR VOLUNTEERS AND FOR OUR ANIMALS. WE WILL BE ACCEPTING CHILDREN OVER THE AGE OF 12 AND UP TO AGE 16.

Why we put our puppies outside,
Getting fresh air, sunshine and time to run and play is just the beginning. Our puppies are always learning. Our puppies are getting lessons in socialization every time we put them out in groups to play. Our puppies are learning the beginning steps of potty training when we take them outside. Our puppies immune systems are enhanced every time they go outside.
Why we show puppies outside,
We believe that puppies need room to run and play. We believe that is the best way to get to know individual personalities. Unless it’s raining hard our puppies go outside. We may take you outside in sprinkles, snow, hot or cold. Some of you will complain or be upset. You have to get used to getting your puppy out to go the the restroom in any weather. Puppies don’t care. We do set limits so that our puppies don’t get too hot or cold but otherwise. . .have you ever spent time with a puppy in the snow? It’s so much fun!
We have this great outdoor space and feel that it makes so much difference in our puppies health and well being, we want you to know why we get so excited over it!
